Blue Cactus Tacos & Tequila Bar, in Franklin, IN, is the leading Mexican restaurant serving Johnson, Morgan, Shelby, Hendricks and Marion counties. We offer tacos, soup, salad, seafood and chicken dishes, taco bowls, handcrafted margaritas, fresh tortillas made in-house and much more. Our Story
Our owner, Jose Murillo, has spent the majority of his life working in the restaurant industry and crafting his culinary skills. His family owned a local restaurant that Jose starting working in when he was young, learning how to cook authentic Mexican meals that made people smile. It was everything he knew and loved, so when he had the opportunity to establish his own restaurant in 2021, the decision was an easy one. Blue Cactus Tacos and Tequila Bar is proud to serve the Franklin community and surrounding areas and happy to share recipes and good times with our friends and family.
We proudly offer authentic and upscale Mexican dishes that cannot be matched in taste or quality. From our hearty tacos and burritos to our handcrafted cocktails and drinks, we have something on the menu for everyone to try. We’re a family owned and operated business with years of culinary knowledge and tradition that comes across on every plate we serve. We pride ourselves on offering the best traditional, authentic Mexican food boasting with flavors that we love, and we know you’ll love them too.
Family is very important to us, and we want every customer who comes through our door to share a meal with us to feel like a part of our family. Our restaurant aims to provide a lively and welcoming atmosphere and our staff pride themselves on making sure you have the best experience possible. We know all of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community and our customers, so we strive to put our best foot forward with every dish and drink we make. Delicious! The tacos are mouthwatering and the variety is unmatched. Love that the water is infused with lemon and lime. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Franklin for a great meal!
2026 Update: still one of the best spots in Franklin! The Camarones Cancún is my favorite dish and never disappoints. Great margs, incredible tacos, and a solid menu from top to bottom. ❤️

Great little place to grab a bite in. The trip dip is outta this world crazy good. The big Mexican burrito was delicious and the street tacos were good. But the main feature were the soft serve margaritas. Those are the bomb. And if you like beer there's a brewery next door. Be sure to pay them some love while you're in the area. Tell them I sent you. They won't know me but it's a fun thing to do.

What a surprise to find this chic tacos and tequila uptown vibe in downtown Franklin,IN. Well done decor with a Dia Muertos (Day of the Dead) theme showing Mexico done right. Love the outdoor seating room with the high arched awning. The food is delicious. Def a do-again spot for me.
